Our home market.
25+ hotels. Four cities. Thirty years.
Thailand is where Compass was born. We opened our first hotel in Bangkok in 1994 and have built a portfolio that spans the full length of the country — from a city-centre Citin to a beachside Compass Collection.
On the ground today
Thailand receives over 30 million international visitors a year and a domestic travel market that is equally significant. Bangkok alone has more than 100,000 hotel rooms — making revenue management and brand differentiation essential for any owner.
Our 30 years in Thailand means we know every sub-market: Sukhumvit versus Silom in Bangkok, the MICE segment in Chiang Mai, the resort cycle in Koh Samui, and the mass-market leisure economy of Phuket.
Compass manages hotels for Thai developers, family-owned groups, and international investors — in all cases as a fully accountable operator with a track record the Thai market can verify.

Key cities
Why Thailand for hotel owners
- Consistent international arrivals and strong domestic travel demand
- Government tourism infrastructure investment ongoing
- Full range of hotel segments — budget to ultra-luxury
- Established OTA and wholesaler distribution
- Compass has existing owner relationships for co-investment opportunities
The 2026 outlook
Thailand's inbound recovery is complete. International arrivals in 2025 surpassed pre-pandemic levels, and 2026 demand growth is being driven by a new mix: Chinese FIT travellers, Indian leisure groups, and a resurgent Gulf market. The structural story is intact — Thailand remains Asia's most accessible leisure destination and one of its most cost-competitive business travel hubs.
For operators and owners, the opportunity in 2026 is margin recovery. ADR has risen but cost inflation has narrowed GOP in many mid-market properties. Compass positions managed hotels to outperform on RevPAR through active revenue management and to control costs through shared services and procurement.
