Brand overview
Compass Collection exists because many of the world's best hotels are independent — and their owners want it that way. But operating independently means limited distribution, no purchasing power, and a management overhead that branded hotels share across a group.
Compass Collection is the answer. Member properties keep their name, their aesthetic, their story. What they gain is access to Compass's central reservations, procurement programme, revenue management expertise, and operational support structure.
The brand is selective. We take on properties that meet our quality standards and whose character aligns with the Collection's positioning: thoughtfully designed, locally rooted, genuinely hospitable.
How membership works
Membership in Compass Collection is a light-touch arrangement — you keep full operational control. We provide the infrastructure.
The agreement is structured as a membership fee plus a small percentage of reservations generated through Compass channels. There is no management fee, no brand conversion cost, and no requirement to change your hotel's name or visual identity.
Properties that later want to transition to full management under one of the core Compass brands can do so at any time. Many Collection members have followed exactly that path as their relationship with Compass has grown.
